Roadblock on Carnaby StreetPosted on 10th November 2016
Eats Everything, Patrick Topping, De La Swing and George Privatti sound tracked the celebrations for this year's Carnaby Street Christmas lights switch on, which got under way at 5 completely unannounced. The '60s-themed event was a collaboration between Elrow and the world-renowned V&A Museum, who are currently hosting an exhibition called You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970, which features Carnaby Street at the heart of ‘swinging’ sixties London.
In typical Elrow style, they packed in over a 100KG of confetti, inflatables and of course an army of performers to confuse and dazzle the general public. Rumour of El Row's presence got out pretty quick on social media and it wasn't long until Carnaby Street was a full on roadblock.
